An iPSC line is a population of cells that has been returned to a pluripotent state, able to become many tissue types, and then expanded, characterised and frozen so it can be used again and again. At TAKWYN a line starts from a routine blood draw. Once a line passes pluripotency, karyotype, identity and sterility checks, it is banked and becomes a renewable starting point for organoid work.
