Elena Aster, M.S.
Elena Aster builds companies at the intersection of regenerative medicine, longevity biology and biological infrastructure. With 15+ years investing in and building early-stage technologies across biotech, deep tech and applied science, and a Master's degree in applied physics and mathematics, her strength is translating complex science into fundable, scalable ventures: evaluating technology, shaping business models and building partnerships and capital strategy. She has worked with founders, family offices, research institutions and innovation ecosystems across the GCC and Southeast Asia. At TAKWYN she leads strategy, partnerships and development, connecting laboratory research with investors, regulators and global collaborators.

Yuri Nikolsky, Ph.D.
Yuri is a serial entrepreneur in life sciences. He co-founded four US-based start-ups, including GeneGo, a computational biology company acquired by Thomson Reuters. He is also a scientist and served as an Associate Professor of Medicine. His research has been cited over 30,000 times across several fields of biomedicine. He brings deep expertise in bioinformatics, wet lab biology and the translation of genomic data into clinical and commercial applications. His role bridges the company's expertise in regenerative medicine and its longer-term longevity research agenda.

Rifat Hamoudi, Ph.D.
Professor in Molecular, Cellular and Computational Medicine at the University of Sharjah, UAE, and Honorary Professor at University College London, UK. He holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge and has been cited over 24,000 times across pathology, bioinformatics and AI. Contributor to the Personal Genome Project UK and the UAE Emirati Genome Project. His work spans AI-driven genomic data analysis, precision biomarker discovery and quantum-assisted computational approaches to complex biological systems.
Scientific advisors.

Stefan Krauss, M.D.
Professor at the University of Oslo and Oslo University Hospital; Director of the Hybrid Technology Hub, a Norwegian Centre of Excellence in organoid and organ-on-a-chip systems. Leads FTI-NAM (2026), the national programme on New Approach Methodologies. Internationally recognised for discovering the morphogen Sonic hedgehog – named by Nature one of 24 Milestones in Development. His liver organoid work underpins TAKWYN's licensed hepatic model.

Prof. Saleh Ibrahim, M.D.
Professor of Immunology and Associate Dean for Research at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi. His work examines population differences in genetic susceptibility to complex disease and gene–microbiota interactions in age-related inflammatory and metabolic conditions. Trained in immunology at the University of Helsinki and Princeton, he led research groups in genetics at the Universities of Rostock and Lübeck before joining Khalifa University in 2022.
Joining us.
We are a small team and we hire slowly. If you work on iPSC lines, organoid engineering, mitochondrial biology or the quality systems behind them, write to us with what you have built.
